Whilst waiting for the LDP to be finalised, which will be at least another two years, developers are taking advantage of the situation by submitting planning applications or pre-application inquiries.

Yet another pre-application inquiry has just been submitted for Hawarden road, making it four potential new developments that could possibly mean a further 300 new houses for the ward!

There is now a full application pending for this site on Hawarden Road - opposite Fammau View Drive.

The property consultant has released the full application details for consultation - they are available on their website http://www.walsinghamplanning.co.uk/resources/planning-applications-in-wales/13-hawarden-road-hawarden-road-penyffordd.html.

Their plan is for 32 houses of 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms. They are including 30% affordable homes and they have included a village green style public open space and a new entrance to Hawarden Road.

A casual vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for Penyffordd Community Council following the death on 10th April of Councillor Tom Jones OBE.

Following the Public Notice we have received notification from the Returning Officer at Flintshire County Council that no request for an Election was received within fourteen days of the date of the Notice and as a result it is in order for the Community Council to fill the vacancies by co-option following the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 / Filling Vacancies by Co-Option.
